Abstract

PURPOSE:To keep a current of the induction motor at lowest and improve a synthetic efficiency by a method wherein a power-factor angle of the induction motor is controlled so as to be kept at around 45 deg.. CONSTITUTION:An electric power from a DC power source 10 is PWM-controlled by an inverter circuit 11 and supplied to the induction motor 12 as an alternating current for a variable voltage, and a variable frequency. A frequency reference fR is frequency-converted by a V/F converter 14 and inputted to a driving circuit 17 through a counter 15 and a distributor 16. The frequency reference fR is compared with an output of a triangular wave oscillator 20 in a comparator 19 through a function generator 18 and fed to the driving circuit 17 through a PWM control circuit 21. A phase difference detector 24 supply an output of a logic circuit 25 detecting a voltage phase angle 45 deg. from the counter circuit 15, a phase signal S1' of a U-phase voltage and an output VPH changing in the polarity at a point shifting by a load power-factor angle 45 deg. from a current phase of a load current from a polarity detector 23 to an output control circuit 28 to make it control a voltage reference VR.
