Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure excellent ignitability over a wide temperature range through a control circuit for a combustion type heater for the heating of a vehicle by constituting said control circuit so that at ignition, the air quantity or the fuel quantity is increased with the time having elapsed since the point of the supply starting time.
CONSTITUTION: When the temperature of the cooling water 7 for an engine is more than a given value, a temperature switch 8 is turned off, while a switching circuit 14 is turned on. Consequently, a capacitor C1 is short-circuited, so that the output voltage of an integrator 13 is zero, and a motor 10 is at rest. When the cooling water temperature is less than the given value and the temperature switch 8 is turned on, a fuel pump 2 and a heating element 5 are operated, and the switching circuit 14 is turned off, so that the capacitor C1 of the integrator 13 is started to be charged. Consequently, the output of the integrator 13 rises with the lapse of time, so that the rotational speed of the motor 10 of a fan 4 is successively raised. Thereby, the air quantity supplied to a combustion chamber 6 is gradually increased, and the air is mixed with the fuel from an atomizer 3 and burned.
