Abstract
PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain a spherical lens array which does not cause any chromatic aberration at the transmission of picture images of different colors by embedding and arranging spherical lenses in a resin of a refractive index differing from that thereof by using a framework in producing the spherical lens array for image transmission of copying machines or the like. CONSTITUTION:Small holes 29 of a spacing twice the focal length of spherical lenses 22, that is 2f, are provided in a frame 28 for holding and arraging the spherical lenses 22, and the spherical lenses 22 are arranged on the top surface thereof, and are installed in a glass tube 26. Thereafter, a resin 23 is injected into the glass tube 26, after which both surfaces are closed with glass plates 27. At this time, the good spherical lens array for image transmission is obtained when the relative refractive indexs of the light for the spherical lenses 22 and the refractive index for the filler 23 are of the combinations in the 1.05-1.2 range.
