Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the changing of the amount of burning by a method wherein a vaporization section for sucking and vaporizing a liquid fuel is led into a primary combustion chamber formed between inner and outer flame cylinders and the quantity of air supplied into the combustion chamber is adjusted by controlling a draft power being generated due to combustion.
CONSTITUTION: The liquid fuel in a fuel tank 7 is sucked up by the vaporization section 1 which comprises a porous body made of a heat resistant material and the sucked fuel is then burned within the primary combustion chamber 10 formed by the inner and the outer flame cylinders 2 and 3 having a number of pores 2a and 3a, together with primary air supplied from inner and outer air inlets 11 and 10. Next, the primary combustion gas from the primary combustion chamber 10 is then burned completely within a secondary combustion chamber 9 by the aid of secondary air supplied from the inner and the outer flame cylinders 2 and 3 through portions 2b and 3b, respectively, as indicated by the arrows. In this case, supplies of the primary air and the secondary air are performed by utilizing the draft power resulting from the combustion and the quantity of air supplied to the apparatus is controlled by varying the draft power through a flow rate adjuster 14 for the air.
