Abstract

PURPOSE: To accumulate energy only just when voltage rises due to the regenerative currents of an electric car by discriminating as to whether or not a rise of stringing voltage results from the regenerative currents of the electric car conducting regenerative operation.
CONSTITUTION: A chopper noise detector 11 is mounted which discriminates as to whether or not the voltage rise of a stringing 3 originates in the regenerative operation of an electric car 4. When the electric car 4 conducts regenerative operation, chopper noises are brought about to the stringing 3. The chopper noises pass through a BPF12, are applied to a transformer 13, are converted into a measuring level, are inputted to a rectifier 14 and are rectified and are inputted to a comparator switch 15. The switch 15 conducts the action of energy accumulation to an energy accumulation controller 6 on conditions that signals from the rectifier 14 are fixed or more and the voltage of the stringing 3 rises. Thus, the device 6 accumulates excessive power only just when the voltage of the stringing 3 rises due to the regenerative operation of the electric car 4, and does not accumulate energy due to a rise of the output voltage of a substation.
