Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce a circuit loss by supplying an irreducible necessary power voltage to an amplifier by controlling the output voltage of a variable DC voltage source simultaneously with gain control over the amplifier.
CONSTITUTION: To supply DC voltage sources ±Vc to terminals 5 and 6 of main amplifier 4, pulse-width modulation system power source 11 performs the pulse- width modulation of the output of DC power source 10 corresponding to the output pulse of pulse-width modulating circuit 9. For the output voltage of this power source 10, this output voltage is compared by error detecting circuit 15 with the reference voltage obtained by dividing a constant voltage applied to terminal 12 through resistor 13 and variable resistor 14, and the output pulse width of circuit 9 is so controlled that the difference will be zero. Variable attenuator 3 controlling the gain of the said amplifier and resistor 14 are coupled with each other and then made controllable from the outside, so that voltages ±Vc can be varied corresponding to the output voltage of amplifier 4.
