Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an anaerobic fermentation gas and recycle the same as a heat source by causing the separated liquid obtained by disintegrating waste containing organic materials and separating coarse solids to be anaerobically digested.
CONSTITUTION: Fresh garbage (a) or municipal waste containing this is disintegrated or ground by a grinder 1. To this end, if necessary, water (b) of a weight equal to that of the frsh garbage (a) or about twice that is added to the garbage before it reaches the grinder 1. Additionally if necessary, the water of about the same proportion is added to the garbage after the grinding and the garbage is then transferred to a fractionating device 2. The screen residues (c) such as coarse solids comprising essentially the coarse fibrous components fractionated in the device 2 are incinerated or disposed for reclamation of land. The separated liquid containing the biological decomposible materials separated in the device 2 is maintained at about 48W55°C liquid temperatures in a high-temperature anaerobic digesting tank 3, whereby it is subjected to digestion treatment. The thus resulting digestion gas (d) containing CH4 and CO2 is recycled and used. The waste digestion liquid from the digestion tank 3 is separated of digestion sludge (e) by a separating device 4 and the digestion desorption liquid (b') is utilized for water addition. The sludge (e) is incinerated or disposed for reclamation of land.
