Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a hot rolled steel plate with high chemical treatability by adding a specified amount of a specific metallic ion to an acid soln. when the plate is descaled by pickling. CONSTITUTION:A hot rolled or further heat treated coil is pickled with an aqueous soln. of hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid contg. 1X10<-3>-0.1mol/l one or more kinds of metal ions selected from Co ion, Ni ion and Sn ion. The concn. of hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid after pickling, the dipping temp. and time and other conditions are not especially restricted, yet standard conditions are as follows: about 5-15wt% acid concn., about 50-90 deg.C dipping temp. and about 15-300sec dipping time.
