Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the combustion performance and enhance the efficiency of thermal utilization by promoting diffused mixing of combustion gas at a free board section with a wall body of a baffle plate provided on a baffle screen. CONSTITUTION:Finned tubes 12, 12... are so arranged that the fins follow a specified reference in the direction thereof and connected together to form a baffle- plate-shaped wall body. When a combustion gas rising from a free board below passes through clearances in the wall body, a disturbance is caused in the flow of gas and particles thereby promoting mutual mixing between the gas and the particles. The tubes and the fins composig the wall body are cooled by the fluid in the tube eliminating possible damage due to a high temperature.
