Abstract

PURPOSE:To absorb vibration effectively, by coating urethane elastomer over the bottom surface and the side faces of a rigid body to which vibration source is to be fixed, forming a slit for relieving the volume change of urethane elastomer at a part of the coating applied to the bottom surface, and placing the rigid body coated with urethane elastomer into a recess formed in a support floor. CONSTITUTION:Coating layer 3 of urethane elastomer is formed on the bottom surface and the side faces of a rigid body 1 of concrete, wood, iron or the like, to which a vibration source is to be fixed. The rigid body 1 thus coated is inserted into a recess 2 formed in the floor surface 5 on which a vibration source is to be placed. Further, in order to relieve the volume change of the coating layer 3 due to its compression, a slit 4 is formed in the bottom coating over an area coverig 0.5- 50% of the entire area of the bottom surface of the body 1.
