Abstract

PURPOSE:To save materials, decrease weight and improve workability by decreasing the wall thickness of a photoreceptor, and making its developing length shorter than the required photosensitive developing length of a maximum copying paper size. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 4 consists of a thin-walled metallic cylinder of aluminum etc., and the length in its axial direction is made slightly longer than copying paper. Even more, its cylindrical size, that is, developing length, is made shorter than the developing length of the maximum size copying paper. A photosensitive layer of zinc oxide-resin dispersion type is uniformly provided on the outside circumferential surface, and the overall wall thickness is set within the range of 1-2mm.. This results in that the photoreceptor 4 is provided with a rigid body which sufficiently withstands the transfer even if the peripheral device makes transfer under the prescribed pressure. This photoreceptor 4 is supported by a supporting mechanism 20. Thereby, the strength is increased ad the material and weight are decreased conderably. Also, the workability is improved.
