Abstract
PURPOSE: To convert an ea type or ae type isomer of monsubstituted cyclohexane-1- carbonyl compound to ee type isomer with high isomerization ratio, by heating the ea type or ae type isomer of monsubstituted cyclohexane-1-carbonyl compound using a proton donative substance or electron attractive substance as a catalyst at specific temperature.
CONSTITUTION: An ea type or ae type isomer of monosubstituted cyclohexane-1- carbonyl compound is heated in the presence of a catalyst at 50W400°C, to give its ee type isomer. A substance having proton donative properties or electron attractive properties, especially liquid or solid acid (e.g., H2SO4, H3PO4, H3BO3, and carboxylic acid) having a relatively high boiling point, is preferably used as the catalyst, and its amount used is small 1W3wt% based on raw material. The temperature is 80W120°C when the catalyst is sulfuric anhydride type or halosulfonic acid type compound, and 200W350°C when a catalyst other than the compound is used.
EFFECT: Time required for isomerization is short (15min to three hours), and side reactions, will hardly occur.
