Abstract
PURPOSE:To convert the vibration of an automobile during running into the driving force and to attempt energy-saving by a method wherein a piezoelectric element is provided at a part between an axle and a wheel, a voltage is generated by the change of load to charge a battery, and is fed to the electric loads on the car. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric element layer 5 is provided at a part between the axle 1 and the wheel hub 3 concentrically with the axle 1. Electrodes 6, 6' are provided at the inner and the outer circumferences of the piezoelectric element layer 5, and the voltage generated by the change of load during running of the car is led out by brushes 7. The brushes 7 are connected to the battery 9 through a transformer 8, and the power is fed from the battery 9 to the electric loads 11 on the car like an auxiliary motor and illumination. Accordingly the force being afforded to the car continuously from the ground is reduced into the driving force, and the energy-saving can be attempted.
