Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacture of crank shaft through joining the driving disc and cylindrical section with expanding a diameter of the blank pipe, by performing a bulge working after the disc and cylinder are loosely fitted at important position of the blank pipe which has been bent to a prescribed form.
CONSTITUTION: Driving discs 4, 4 and cylinders 6, 6 made of special steel are loosely fitted respectively at prescribed position on the blank pipe made of normal steel which has already been bent to a similar form to a shaft cylinder 7 and has a diameter slightly smaller than the discs and cylinders. Then, these are put in a bulge pattern and the bulge working is performed by press-introducing high pressure liquid in the pipe through an introducing pipe 3. Whereupon, the blank pipe expands and pushes the inside surfaces of the bulge pattern 1 and each eccentric hole 5 and each cylinder 6, driving discs 4 and cylinder 6 of bearing section are jointed and simultaneously both sides of discs 4 and cylinder 6 are projected in the diametric direction to tightly maintain the discs 4 and cylinder 6 by the aid of swelled-up rings 8.
