Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable reliable coupling of a drum gear with a shaft, by a method wherein a pair of taper rings are located between the drum gear and the shaft, and said taper rings are tightened.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of taper rings 23 and 24 are positioned in a spot facing part of a drum gear 4 between a shaft end 2a and the drum gear. One taper ring 23 mates the drum gear 4, and the other taper ring 24 slidably matches the shaft end 2a. The taper ring 24 is pressed against the end surface of a press ring 21 sliding through screwing-in of a fastening bolt 22, and as a result, it slides outward. The taper ring is coupled to the shaft end 2a resulting from a slight deformation due to contraction through the action of tapered surface of the taper ring 24, and the other taper ring 23 is connected to the drum gear 4 resulting from a slight deformation due to expansion.
