PURPOSE:To combine articles so that they may amount to a prearranged quantity within tolerable limits by sequentially measuring articles individuals of which are uneven in mass with a single unit of scale and processing a measured value with the assistance of micorcomputer, etc. CONSTITUTION:Articles transferred to a scaling conveyor 2 from a feeder conveyor 1 are sequentially measured by a scale 3 during passage through the scaling conveyor 2 and then are conducted to ten units of hopper 5 or a hopper header 9 or a discharge chute 10 through the intermediary of a separating chute 7. A microcomputer 4 computs an addition value of the measured readings of articles charged and combines the articles through determination of charged and combines the articles through determination of a combination of articles whose values are within the limits of a tolerance value prearranged and closest to floor of the tolerance among the other obtained addition values.
