Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the radiation of heat by rotating a spherical anode of X-ray tube simultaneously around two perpendicular shafts thereby achieving a long spiral orbit of thermion emitted from a filament and impinged against an anode. CONSTITUTION:A spherical anode 12 will vertically rotate around a rotary shaft 1 while cylinders 8, 9 supported by bearings 6, 7 are coupled through a bell-shaped support 5 with a rotary cylinder 4, and the spherical anode 12 will horizontally rotate around a fixed shaft 2. The rotor 10 of a linear motor is provided on the rotary shaft 1 while a repelling copper board 11 is provided on the bell-shaped support 11, and they are rotated by the stator 14 respectively. Furtheremore the bell- shaped support 5 is formed in double structure and heat pipe system is employed where sodium is encapsulated. Consequently the orbit of the thermion emitted from the filament 16 and impinged against the anode 12 is lengthened to improve the heat radiation, thereby it can be easily used for long time with large current.
