Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a polyurethane-polysocyanate having a low proportion of remaining free diisocyanate compound, by reacting a polyol compound with a diisocyanate compound and, after completion of the reaction, adding a chain extending agent to the reaction mixture.
CONSTITUTION: The polyurethane-polyisocyanate is produced by reacting a polyol compound with a diisocyanate compound and, after completion of the reaction, adding a small amount, pref., up to about 30mol% of a chain extending agent having a MW of below 250 to the reaction mixture. The chain extending agent which can be used is a bifunctional compound having an active hydrogen, and includes ethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, cyclohexanediol or ethylenediamine.
