Abstract
PURPOSE:To operate a timer with a high precision by discharging or charging when the potential of a pair of poles reaches the first reference potential and by stopping charging and discharging for a potential storage element when the potential above is reset to the second reference potential. CONSTITUTION:Power sources 11 and 12 are connected to a pair of poles W and C of electrochemical potential storage element 17 and charge and discharge through analogue switch circuits 15 and 16, and comparator circuit 22 compares the potential of reference pole R of element 17 with the first reference potential of reference voltage source 20. Here, start switch 28 is closed to drive monostable multivibrator 29, and a pair of poles of element 17 is charged or discharged, and discharge or charge is performed when the potential of a pair of poles reaches the first reference potential, and charge and discharge for element 17 are stopped when the potential above is reset to the second reference potential. By this operation, the timer output is obtained by output change of compararor circuits 22 and 23, and the timer is always reset to the reset state after timer operations, so that timer operations can be performed with a high precision.
