Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the causes damaging a homogeneousness of a tyre by a method wherein an overlapping of cords is eliminated to perform a uniform connection even at a lap splice. CONSTITUTION:Pitch spaces L1, L1' between the first cord C1 and the second cord C2 of raw material 1 are larger than a pitch space L of another cord C. The raw material 1 is bias cut and an edge margin 5b of another cord material 4b is layed over an edge margin 5a' of cord material 4a. In this case, the first cord C1 of the upper cord material 4b is positioned substantially at an intermediate part of the rubber portion 8' between the rist code C1' and the second cord C2' of the lower cord material 4a, the first cord C1' of the lower cord material 4a is positioned substantially at an intermediate part of the rubber portion 8 between the first cord C1 and the second cord C2 of the upper cord material 4b and they are pressed by a pressing device 6.
