Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an arrangement for multiple cylindered rotary piston engine, in which a main suction port and a supercharging port are opened in the housing and the said supercharging port is opened and closed in synchronism with turning of output shaft so as to produce turbulence in combustion chamber, whereby it is enabled to increase the output of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: Main suction ports 11F, 11R and supercharging ports 20F, 20R are formed adjacently to each other respectively in side housings 4F, 4R located on the front side 1 and rear side 2 of a multiple rotary piston engine. From the main suction ports 11, ordinary mixture is furnished via respective intake passages 9F, 9R, whereas supercharging ports 20 are both communicated to air pump 14 via respecitve branch passages 18F, 18R having a common surge tank 16 and timing valve 19. This valve 19 is opened and closed in synchronism with turning of eccentric shafts 6F, 6R for feeding supercharged air alternately to the housings 4F, 4R, so that turbulence is produced to the mixture introduced from the main suction ports.
