Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect the high-accuracy quick-response control of the mixture ratio of mixed gas, by providing a hydrometer on the passage of the mixed gas and using a value measured by the hydrometer.
CONSTITUTION: Liquefied natural gas is reserved in a tank 1. The liquefied substance is conducted to an evaporator 3 by a pump 2 so that the substance is evaporated. The natural gas is then conducted to a passage 4. Liquefied propane or butane gas is reserved in a tank 5. The propane or batane is transferred to an evaporator 7 by a pump 6 and then conducted to the passage 4 through another 8 so that the natural gas and the propane or butane gas are mixed with each other. The hydrometer 15 is provided on another passage 9 to measure the specific gravity of the mixed gas. Since the specific gravity of town gas corresponds to its calorific value, the output of the hydrometer 15 is applied to a compensatory calculation circuit 14. The output of a flow rate ratio control circuit 13 is compensated by the output of the hydrometer to regulate the degree of opening of a flow control valve 12 to keep the specific gravity of the mixed gas in the passage 9 constant.
