Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Onto the inner wall of a glass tube are applied two layers of phosphor layer. The first phosphor layer, applied to the glass tube side, is consisting of blue color luminous phosphor. On the other hand, the second phosphor layer, applied to the discharge side, is consisting of three kinds of phosphor with a peak wave length of the luminous spectrum being in a range of 430W490 nanometers, 520W570 nanometers and 600W640 nanometers. Both average and specific color rendering evaluation become higher than that as usually made.
