Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance sealing property of a cylinder head gasket for multi-cylinder internal-combustion engines by thickening the sheets and grommets at both longitudinal end portions as compared with inside ones. CONSTITUTION:In a gasket 10 having specified bores 1-4 for cylinder portions, rings 6 are inserted around the bores 1-4 and grommets 6 are fitted thereto, the grommets 6 being thicker at both longitudinal end protions (shaded portions) of the gasket 10. Also the gasket 10 is thickened at the longitudinal end portions as compared with other portions. Thus, the tightening force at the longitudinal end portions is increased, and sealing effect is improved.
