Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the operations of connection and disconnection easy and make the connector difficult to receive damages and the effect of dust by mounting a reseptacle to the rear part of panel by way of a bracket and mounting a plug 4 to the rear part of frame by way of a bracket. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical terminal member 10 having an optical fiber 7 is held to a holding sleeve 12 by way of a spring 11, this holding sleeve 12 being held to a guide sleeve 14 by way of a spring 13. The sleeve 14 is mounted to the bracket 6 of a frame by means of a fixing member 17 by providing some clearance and this constitute a plug 4. On the other hand, a receptacle 3 which contains an optical device 18, has a precision inside hole 19 and has a cylindrical member 20 fitting to the guide sleeve 14 of the plug 4 is fixed to the bracket 2 of a panel. Since the fitting of the plug 4 and receptacle 3 is accomplished within the frame, there is no likelihood of receiving damages by external force and there is less possibility for receiving the effect of dust.
