Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure a quick and easy detection for the leak area under operation of the nuclear reactor by providing the collecting box at the fault suspected area and then connecting the box to the temperature measuring instrument, the cooling device, the water level measuring instrument or the radioactivity detector.
CONSTITUTION: Collecting box 3 is attached to leak detection part 1 of piping 2, and thus the temperature increases at box 3 and piping 4 if the vapor leaks out. As a result, some reaction signal is transmitted from temperature measuring instrument 7. The leaked vapor is changed into the waver via cooling device 8 and collected to storage container 9. Thus the water level is confirmed by water level measuring instrument 10. Otherwise the radioactivity is sampled at radioactivity detector 11, thus the detection signal being transmitted.
