Abstract

PURPOSE:To raise the cooling effects by placing an infrared detecting element through a cooling block on the outer wall of an inner tube which faces an infrared permeable aperture formed at a portion of an outer tube of a double-tube insulating container. CONSTITUTION:Through the both two resin layers 5A and 5B of a sapphire plate 6, an infrared detecting element 7 is placed on a cooling block 4 of copper. An insulating cover 11 is attached by the screwing or adhering means to the periphery of the element 7 so that the inside of the cover 11 is held under a sealed condition. The inside of the cover 11 is filled up with a cooling medium such as helium gases, which are in direct contact with the element 7.
