Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop incident light as undesired to a light receiver at no testing time with a simple construction by providing a reflector for a tester at a light emitting unit side of a shade to stop incident light reflected at no testing time to the receiver. CONSTITUTION:In testing, a knob 6 is pressed to thereby move the reflecting portion of a reflector 7 toward the end of a shade 4 so at to project the light via the reflector 7 into a light receiver 3. When an alarm is dispatched at this time, it can confirm that a light emitting unit 2 and the receiver 3 and the other componertsare normal in operation. At no testing time the reflecting portion of the reflector 7 is disposed at the base end of the shade 4 to cause the reflected light on the reflector 7 not to be projected into the receiver 3 to thereby produce no error at no testing time to thus enhance the sensitivity. When smoke is existed at no testing time, the light from the unit 2 is reflected and scattered by the smoke and projected into the receiver 3 to generate an alarm.
