Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase remarkably the corrosion preventing effect for metals immersed in water, by simultaneous addn. of Zn and/or Mn salts of at least one of dithiocarbamic acids, and lignin and/or tannin to water in a prescribed ratio by weight.
CONSTITUTION: Ten parts by weight of Zn salt and/or Mn salt of at least of dithiocarbamic acids, e.g., ethylene-bis(dithiocarbamic acid), and 1W2,000 parts by weight, pref., 1W500 parts by weight of lignin and/or tannin are simultaneously added to water. The ratio of the dithiocarbamates to be added to water is 1W 1,000mg/l water, pref., 5W200mg/l water, and the ratio for the lignin etc. is 1W1,000mg/l water, pref., 10W300mg/l water. As the lignin is used sodium lignin sulfonate, and as the tannin is used tannin-quebracho.
