Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the rate of removal of malodorous components by suitably combining decomposition by ozone and absorption by acidic solution and alkaline solution.
CONSTITUTION: The malodorous gas evolved from a malodorous gas evolving chamber 1 is directed via blower 2 and duct 4 to an acid-alkali scrubbing chamber 5. In this chamber 5, first the malodorous gas is scrubbed by spraying the acidic solution mixed with the ozone generated from an ozone generator 3 from nozzles 12 in an acidic solution scrubbing chamber 7. Next, this gas is scrubbed with the alkaline solution sprayed from spray nozzles 12' in the alkaline solution scrubbing chamber in the rear stage, thence the gas is released to the outside through duct.
