Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the control characteristics of a control motor drive unit by providing a control unit usable for respective motors having a drive power unit, a drive command signal generator and a comparison controller to thereby electronically control the motors. CONSTITUTION:When a drive input signal Ap is set at low level, transistors Tr1, Tr9 are operated. Since the output t10 of a comparator CO is ''0'' at this time, transistors Tr8, Tr5, Tr6 are operated to allow a current Ip1 to flow through a load L is the direction Ip. When the current Ip1 is increased to cause the voltage smoothed from the voltage across a resistor R1 to become higher than the voltage of the inverted input terminal-of the comparator CO, the output off the comparator CO becomes ''1''. Thus, the transistors Tr8, TR5, Tr6 become inoperative to thereby flow a current Ip2 by the electromagnetic energy stored at the load L. When the drive input signal AN is set at low level, a current will flow through the load L in the direction IN. Thus, it can readily control the reverse rotation and speed of a pulse motor or DC motor and provide an IC control circuit.
