Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a foamed article having excellent punchability, by adding a modifier comprising a specific compound having a polyoxyalkylene bond in the molecule, to flexible polyester polyurethane foam.
CONSTITUTION: A foamed article composed of (A) a flexible polyester polyurethane foam containing polyester polyol as a polyol component, and (B) (pref. 0.2W 10wt% of) an organic compound having a polyoxyalkylene bond (polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene, etc.) and being inactivated to organic isocyanates (for example, by hindering both terminals with ether or ester). The addition of the (B) component is carried out either by adding the (B) component to the raw materials of the (A) component, or by impregnating the foamed polyurethane with the (B) component. The (B) component is, e.g. compounds of formulas I-III (R1,2 are 1W20C alkyl, etc.; R3 is H, 1W5C alkyl, etc.).
