Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a most suitable determination operable for the required number of pumps to be operated, by means of correcting a flow rate set value in accordance with a flow rate in other systems, even in the case when a lift of fluid of the pump is varied by a change of flow rate deriving from the other system.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pumps 41 are connected to the main water supply through a common flowmeter 42 and flow regulator valve 43. The flow regulator valve 43 is controlled by a flow control system 48 with signals fed from a flow rate setter 45 and from the flowmeter 42. Although the signal from the flow rate setter 45 is inputted also to an operator 46, a signal from a flowmeter 44 in other system is also inputted to the above operator 46, accordingly, said operator 46 corrects the flow rate set value, set by the flow setter 45, correspondingly to a flow rate in the other system. With a signal of this corrected flow rate set value compared with the flow range, set by a setter 47 that determines a number of the operated pumps, the most suitable operational number can be determined.
