Abstract

PURPOSE:The contents of Si, Mn, and P in titanium stabilized steel is controlled to a proper value, thereby to prevent heat ductile surface deffects and temper color generation and to enhance deep drawing property. CONSTITUTION:Slab of titanuim stabilized steel containing C<0.02 %, Si: 0.20 to 0.70 %, Mn: 0.60 to 1.00 %, P<0.01 to 0.04 %, S<0.01 %, sol.Al: 0.02 to 0.09 %, (Si + Mn) <1.4 %, and Ti being 5 to 20 times C is heated to temperatures higher than 1200 deg.C. The slab is then heat rolled at a finishing temperature higher than Ar3 point or 870 deg.C. This is recrystallized by uniformly heating at 730 to 850 deg.C for 10 to 120 seconds. This is quenched from this temperature to make its surface smooth, provinding cold rolled steel plate with tensile strength of greater than 40 kg/mm<2> and having good deep drawing, extension, coating, soldering properties.
