Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a titanium alloy which excels in the impact resistance. working property and tensile strength and is appropriate for a turbine or the like, by adding prescribed quantities of aluminium, molybdenum and chromium to titanium.
CONSTITUTION: The titanium alloy comprises 0.5 to 1.9% by weight of aluminium, 2.0 to 10.0% by weight of molybdenum, 1.0 to 6.0% by weight of chromium and the rest of titanium.
USE: The titanium is appropriate for a steam turbine, jet engine fan or gas turbine compressor blade or the like which are required of high impact resistance.
