Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a multiple-shell tank, in which anchor members are fixed at one ends thereof to the side plate attached to the outer wall of inner tank and at the other ends to a base seat, which is fixed to the lower portion of bottom plate of the inner tank and to a side plate on the inner wall of outer tank, whereby if the inner tank is ruptured, liquid leaked therefrom can be blocked completely by the outer tank. CONSTITUTION:One ends 8a of a plurality of anochor members 8 are fixed to side plate 7 on the outer wall of inner tank 2, and the other ends are fixed to base seat 12. This base seat 12 is located downwardly of the bottom plate 17 of inner tank 2 and extended radially outwards of bottom plate 17 while supporting the peripheral portion of the bottom plate 17, and end portion 12a of the base seat 12 is fixed to side plate 13 on the inner wall of outer tank 4. Thus, anochor members 8 are disposed whthin a space fromed between inner tank 2 and outer tank 4, so that the space can be sealed completely from the outside. Therefore, if inner tank 2 is ruptured by some reason or other, liquid leaked from tank 2 can be retained completely within the outer tank 4.
