Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the excessive current from flowing to the small-power load by connecting the gate of the thyristor to the phase-shift signal circuit to give the conduction control for a fixed time to the current flowing to the load by the transistor and at the zero current point.
CONSTITUTION: The serial circuit of the collector and the emitter of load 13 and transistor Tr14 is connected to AC power source 11 via rectifier 12. Then resistance 15 is connected between the joint of rectifier 12 and load 13 and the base of Tr14, and at the same time phase-shift signal circuit 16 is connected between the joint and the emitter of Tr14. Furthermore, thyristor SCR17 is connected between the base and the emitter of Tr14, and the gate of SCR17 is connected to circuit 16. As a result, Tr14 gives the conduction control for a fixed time to the current flowing to load 13 at the zero current point, thus preventing the excessive current from flowing to the small-power load.
