Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a rush current from occurring and stably control the direction of rotation of an AC motor, by applying a phase rotating direction control signal only when the terminal voltage of the motor is minute.
CONSTITUTION: When operation signals of low potential are applied to terminals f1, b1, the motor is at rest because the potentials on terminals f2, b2 are high and the control signal is not applied. Applying a high potential to the terminal f1 in that case, the potential on the terminal f2 becomes low and the motor is rotated forward. At that time, power voltages are applied among the primary terminals U1∼W1 of the motor. As a result, the potential on the emitter of a light receiver TR becomes high. The potential on a terminal of a NAND element L1 is low when the potential on the terminal f1 is low and that on the terminal b1 is high and there is a residual voltage in the motor. When the residual voltage has become minute, the potential on the terminal b2 becomes low and the motor is rotated in reverse.
