Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the sticking through one positioning for both a number of solid state pickup elements and color separation filters arranged, thus increasing the productivity as well as reducing the producion cost. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of a number of solid state pickup elements 23 arranged on substrate 21 plus the filter element surfaces of substrate 22 on which a number of color separation filters 26 possessing the filter elements arranged in correspondence to picture elements of elements 23 each are arranged on transparent supporter 22a are hardened with the ultraviolet rays and then adhered close together after positioning via the adhesive which is hardened through the heating process. Then the ultraviolet rays are irradiated from the side of supporter 22a and via ultraviolet shielding layer 27 provided at the position corresponding to bonding pad part 25 of substrate 21 in order to harden the adhesive at the ultraviolet transmission region. Then the unhardened adhesive remaining at part 25 on substrate 21 is removed after or simultaneously with removal of the part corresponding to part 25 on substrate 22. After this, the adhesive is completely hardened by the heating over the entire region between the surface of element 23 and that of the filter element. Otherwise the area between the adjacent pad parts of element 23 on substrate 21 is cut off.
