Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the accuracy of air-fuel ratio at the time of low-speed operation of engine, by providing a slow-speed fuel passage different from the conventional slow-speed system in the manner that it is communicated to a portion near the throttle valve of a carburetor, and providing in the slow-speed fuel passage a control valve operation of which is controlled electrically in response to the pressure of intake air.
CONSTITUTION: A conventional main fuel passage 4 is opened in a venturi 3 of intake pipe 2, and a float chamber 6 is communicated directly to a portion near throttle valve 23 for constituting a slow-speed fuel passage 1. In the passage 1, there is provided a flow control valve 26, the opening of which is controlled by a microcomputer 12 to which signals from a temperature sensor 16 and a sensor 17 for detecting pressure of intake air are given. With such an arrangement, a proper amount of fuel is supplied depending on the temperature and the pressure of air introduced into intake pipe 2.
