  • Compression-Type Refrigeration Machines With Reversible Cycles (AREA)

Abstract

PURPOSE: To simultaneously air condition a plurality of indoor units, by connecting a plurality of branch pipes to a duct at the outdoor unit side, in which high pressure gas flows when air cooling operation, and by connecting the branch pipes to the heat exchangers of the indoor units through switching valves.
CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant is compressed by means of a compressor 1 in an outdoor unit O, condensed by means of an outdoor heat exchanger 2 and circulated to indoor units A, B, C, and this machine is refrigerant operated by the evaporation action of indoor heat exchangers 19. When heating only the indoor unit B, a switching valve SVB mounted to a branch pipe 26 is opened, one portion of gas discharged from the compressor 1 is let flow into the indoor unit B from flow dividing pipes 37, 26 and the switching valve SVB, is condensed by means of an indoor heat exchanger 23 and functions as heating, and a liquid refrigerant passes through a check valve 22, flows into a main pipe 9 at the liquid side through a piping D, branch pipes 11, 29 and a check valve 31 and joins to a refrigerant with high pressure from the liquid receiver 6 side in order to air-cool the indoor units A, C.
