Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust the spiral loci of wire juncture to other portion of spiral windings and also eliminate the process of rubber covering, by clamping the ending and starting ends of the rubber-covered hard steel wires.
CONSTITUTION: Rubber-covered R4 hard steel wires W17 are spirally wound at a certain pitch on the surface of a bead wire 1 composed of multiple- and layer-wound rubber-covered R3 hard steel wires W16 with a polygonal cross section. The starting ends E1 and ending ends E2 of the rubber-covered wires 2 are junctioned and clamped to the bead wire 1 by means of a cylindrical coupler 4 made of a brass plate, for example, and having a projection at its inner center.
