Abstract
PURPOSE: To display water leakage information to the outside of the camera by detecting the change in the electrical characteristics of the material which causes absorption or dehydration of steam and absorption and dehydration of water or the change in the material which causes reversible chemical reaction of steam and water in the camera of the water-tight construction.
CONSTITUTION: When the cover 1a of the camera is closed, a detecting part 3 exposes in the inside. When water or steam enters the camera inside, the detecting part 3 detects this. If, e.g., lithium chloride is used for the detecting part 3, this material has absorption and desorption of steam or reversibility of absorption and dehydration of water and produces a resistance change. Next, when this electrical change is inputted to a comparator 612 which is held applied with a constant potential VO, then it generates Vs as water leakage information only when water or steam enters. Displaying to the camera outside by a lamp 17 or automatic preventing of water leakage is accomplished by Vs, whereby photographic is safely and surely performed.
