Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a blow molding device which enables an easy heat set operation serving to improve a heat-resisting property of a molded product, by a method wherein a thin conductive film, which is electrically isulated from a mold, is formed on a molding surface of a drum portion of the mold. CONSTITUTION:An insulation film 5 made of an electrical insulation material having a heat-resisting property is formed on a surface on the side of a molding surface 3 at a drum portion at least of a mold proper 1, and a thin conductive film 2 formed on said insulation film 5 by plating and vacuum vaporation is connected to a given power source. After a blow-molding is performed by the use of the mold device, an electric power is supplied to the conductive film 2 which is heated rapidly to a high temperature, whereby a molded product is heated. At the same time when the supply of the power to the conductive film 2 is then interrupted, a cooling fluid is fed to a cooling passage 6 provided in the mold proper 1 to cool rapidly the molded product, and in this way, heat setting is performed.
