Abstract

PURPOSE: The title composition having improved flame retardancy, mechanical and electrical insulating properties, comprising a polyhydroxy hydrocarbon polymer, a polyisocyanate, an organic halogen, and an aminotriazine compounds.
CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyhydroxy hydrocarbon polymer, preferably a hydrogenated polyhydroxy diene polymer, and (B) a polyisocyanate compound are incorporated with (C) 10W30wt% based on the total weight of the composition of a compound selected from aminotriazine, cyanuric acid, and melamine cyanurate compounds, and (D) 3W10wt% of an organic halogen compound, e.g. tetrabromobisphenol A.
