Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for the filling work of filter sand at a location where the plant is installed, to discharge water to be disposed without letting the water pass through a sand filter tank, and to decrease water sealing portions, by a mechanism wherein a coagulating sedimentation tank used as a lower body and the sand filter tank employed as an upper body are combined and unified.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water is jetted to a jet pump 46 from a jet nozzle 42 through an inflow pipe 16c and a riser portion 16d, further passes through a coagulant mixing tank 48, a floating tank 53 and an agitating tank 45 and returns to a sludge retaining tank 27. An agitating portion is formed to a lower portion of the tank 27, and a sludge blanket portion 27c is made up to an upper portion. Only water passes through the tank and is forwarded to the upper portion. Sludge from the blanket 27c is sedimentated and concentrated at a concentrating portion on a bottom plate 20, and a fixed quantity of sludge is built up. The raw water passes through a separation tank 34, a sand filter tank 55, a disposing water overflow weir 64 and a discharging pipe 65, ans is discharged to a fresh water tank from a sischarging port.
