Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise the color density of a color image by superposing an image receiving element having a layer containing a polymer mordant having specified structural units on a photosensitive element containing a dye developer or a diffusible dye-releasing reducing agent as a dye donor. CONSTITUTION:To an image receiving layer is added a homopolymer, as a mordant, having structural units represented by the formula (where Z is a group of atoms required to completing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring and X<-> is a monovalent anion). A copolymer of the monomer and other vinyl type monomer or a graft polymer containing the above-mentioned structure may be used in place of the homopolymer. The MW of the polymer is preferably about 10,000-500,000. This image receiving layer is superposed on a layer containing a dye developer or a diffusible dye-releasing reducing agent. By esp. making use of an azo or anthraquinone type dye developer the color density of a color image is raised.
