Abstract
PURPOSE: To simultaneously detect the position and speed of rotor of a commutatorless motor, by providing projections and recesses on the peripheral surface of the rotor and attaching magnetism-sensitive elements to the stator of the motor.
CONSTITUTION: Recesses 9 and projections 8 are provided on the peripheral surface of the rotor 4 of a commutatorless motor such as a transistor motor so that a rotor speed signal pitch generation means is formed. Hall elements 11W13, which are magnetism-sensitive elements, are provided on the stator 3 of the motor. A rotor position detector is composed of the Hall elements 11, 12 and comparators 30, 40. The outputs of the elements 11, 12 are added to that of the other Hall element 13 whose input is connected inversely to those of the elements 11, 12. Higher harmonic due to the recesses 9 and projections 8 is picked out through a filter 50 to detect the speed of the rotor 4. The speed can thus be simultaneously detected by the means for detecting the position of the rotor.
