Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the movement and working capacity of work boat by decreasing the weight of the under water cable in the vicinity of the boat, by sending gas to the float which has the variable buoyancy by being made as free for either expansion of contraction and attached to the cable connecting the work boat and the mother ship.
CONSTITUTION: When the work boat 4 is submerged below the mother ship 2, the work boat 4 is submerged by being suspended and by contracting the variable buoyancy float 5, 5 attached to the cable in the vicinity of the work boat. When the work boat reached the predetermined depth, as directed by the mother boat, gas is sent to the variable buoyancy tank 5, 5 through the flexible gas pipe 7 to expand the variable buoyancy tank 5, 5. The buoyancy is generated as soon as the variable buoyancy tank 5, 5 is expanded reducing the under water weight of the cable 1 in the vicinity of the work boat 4 to nearly about zero, thus capable of obtaining favourable characteristics for the movement and working capacity of the work boat 4.
