Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a cool and hot wind generating apparatus, using air as operating fluid, in which a large amount of hot wind is obtained by way of heat exchange at a high-temperature compression section, whereas a large amount of cool wind is obtained from low-temperature air produced by expansion of compressed air.
CONSTITUTION: Air from suction port 7 is compressed at 2 and sent to heat exchanger 5, where heat is exchanged with high-temperature exhaust gas of turbine 4. Then, high-temperature air is sent to combustor 6. On the other hand, fuel from fuel supplying means is combusted (at 104) in the combustor 6, and combustion gas is used to drive turbine 4 and then is discharged (at 11) via heat exchanger 5. Outeput shaft 17 of gas turbine 1 and input shaft 19 of sub-turbine 20 are coupled together by means of coupling 18 to drive the sub-turbine 20. Further, hot-wind generating unit 26 consisting of radiator 64 and others and cool-wind generating unit 27 equipped with cool-wind duct 75 are both connected to the sub-turbine 20 which is coupled with gas turbine 1, so that either of hot wind or cool wind can be supplied as the case demands.
